settling

I think I'm finally settling in with where I'm at in life. I'm beginning to feel content with who I am and what I do. I know that the future is huge and wonderful, etc. But i think I'm becoming comfortable with the now! I go to school. I have a job. I have a life - and it's worth living!!!

One year ago today...

August 24, 2008 I said a weepy goodbye to one of the bestest friends God has ever given me. I have not had the privilege of seeing her since. I don't know when I'll see her again. But I love her...
Over the past year, we have both grown up so much. We have both completed a year of college. Both learned so much about the Lord, ourselves, and other people. I'm pursuing English, she's working on her nursing degree. I'm working full-time, she got to travel for missions for the duration of the summer. And now she's courting :)
But wherever we go, whatever we do--"We'll be friends forever, right?" "Yah, forever."

I love you, Shaina Rachel Rosett!!!

loves!!!

Yesterday I had one of those moments that make you stop and be grateful--not necessarily for your life, but the fact that Father has given us life!

I was in Starbucks, waiting for my drink. I didn't even notice my barista or that he was talking to a woman with two kids--but he was. Suddenly the woman started to walk away from the drink counter--fairly normal for someone to do at Starbucks. But then suddenly one of the little boys with her turned on his heel and yelled for everyone to hear, "Bye, DAD! See you tonight!"
"Bye, Son!"
"Ok, Dad! I LOOOOOOOOOVE YOU!!!!"

It was one of the most precious moments ever. The barista was slightly embarrassed by the lavish display of affection, but grinning nonetheless!
Thank You Jesus for loves!!!

I just love when people capture moments that make you grateful and all you can say is "Wow!"
